About

Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, kaye discovered his love of music at a young age. Currently 19, he's working on making a name for himself in the pop and melodic rap genres. His love for music was ignited during his high school years, where he would often find himself writing rhymes to pass the time, inspired by artists such as Juice WRLD, lil skies & iann dior. It was during these years that he found his first love. Their relationship was bittersweet, lasting up until college, then ending in an argument after they both began to drift away from each other.

The end of this relationship left kaye feeling lost and heartbroken. In an attempt to work his way through the pain, he turned to writing, with songs not yet released, such as “Without You”, “Bad Habits”, and “Decide”, being written. At the time, he also released his first song titled “Letting Go”, now deleted.

Life took a turn again when kaye met a second girl who quickly became a big part of his life. Because of this, his music was put on hold.

Inspired by his feelings for her during this time, he wrote songs like “Everything I Can”, “Only You”, and “Moonknight”. During this relationship, he only released two songs - “Swear” and a second song - "Petals," which was a reflection of his feelings as he sensed the relationship slipping away.

This relationship was bumpy throughout, but came to an end when late one night, kaye received a phone call from this girl where a lot of hurtful things were said, and he was once again left heartbroken.

Struggling to deal with the same pain once again, he turned to music, firstly writing songs such as "Look At Me And Cry", "Second Chances" and "Paint Dry”, all explaining the exact feelings he felt at the time. He went on to later move back home, in which he recorded his first song since the break up a month later, “fool for u”.

He then went on to release his first song since the break-up, “what you wanna,” which was a song he recorded earlier the day of the break up, in which he explains how he felt that day - like all his feelings were being ignored and she had no care towards him. He later added part of the final phone call with her, contrasted with a loving and caring voice note sent by her as the intro to the song.

He has since written and recorded over 90 songs, and plans to release them week-by-week throughout 2024, all while continuing to create new music every single day. He is finding his sound, taking vocal lessons to improve his range, and is beginning to build a following on social media. He hopes to find others that resonate with him, and help people going through heartbreak, the same way music helped him.
